love-hate dilemma

I have waited for an hour since 2pm in the platform, the bus should have been here 45 minutes ago. I said to the Caucasian lady, "I'm going upstairs to ask, do you wanna go?" We climbed and sifted through a bunch of people sitting on the stairs and made it to 2 levels up. The Malay in the ticketing counter said heavy traffic has prevented the bus from getting into the terminal.

While we were walking back to the platform, we chat and she told me she traveled from Singapore in Sunday and she thought she could change all her SGD here. Unfortunately, our money changers were closed on weekends. She asked for help from the police (by that time I added, "they couldn't even speak English", she replied, "yes they do a little bit") but they didn't know anything, "it's very surprising" with a face full of expression. That was utterly embarrassing.

Ask me if I love my country?

Geographically, yes. Food wise, big yes. Politically, no. The ruling party has already created so many deep rooted culture, they are so difficult to be undermined and totally not something that any of us could question. Talk about the contradicting 1 Malaysia propaganda and the racial conflicts. Comparing with Singapore, our country is bigger in size and population, having more natural resources and gained our independence earlier, but less systematic and developed than the little island of close proximity. This really is something that our leader should probe into.

As unsystematic as it is, KL city actually offers more fun than Sg. Not to offend but to express my personal feelings, the little island is so compact and everybody tries their best to live, but to me, I feel less passion in the city (maybe their passion is not in the way I am used to experiencing). Our people are more kind hearted and much less arrogant, which is the biggest thing I like about my country.

The Caucasian lady then asked, "Is it safe to walk around KL city?" "It's very warm, and you gotta be careful with your backpack." Ahh, love-hate dilemma.

I'm a believer of "passion", but at the same time, I do think that "passion" should be balanced. I disagree with the thinking that if you're into arts, then you don't need to study maths. Or if you've managed to run a business even before you graduate, then there's no point of finishing school or university. Life should be balanced. Like day and night. Like fiction and fantasy. Practice goes well with theories. Sometimes, we abuse the idea of "passion" that we neglect the fact that in life, it's not always about you. And even when it's about you, you need to be complete. Don't use "passion" as an excuse to miss out on other things life has to offer. Don't just live in your own passion-bubble and not touch other worlds. Be out there and stay current. (Diana Rikasari)

1. Lose Weight it’s no longer in my list anymore. Yay!!

2. Getting Organized This means that I could not sleep late/get up late, no?

3. Spend Less, Save More Many months of unemployment in 2011 made me with lesser money to spend and save. This year I have also bought more books than clothes. I am hardly an impulsive buyer and would only buy when things are on sale (and I love buying in bundle!) so this is not a resolution for me J

4. Enjoy life to the Fullest Not working is a way of enjoying, yes I know. Achieved this in 2011 but I think I want to do this again.

5. Staying Fit and Healthy Lame.

6. Learn Something Exciting Believe it or not, as old fashion as it sounds, this one is always on my list.

7. Quit Smoking Meh. You should persuade my dad.

8. Helping Others in Their Dreams What about my own?

i know some people whom are actually envious with my current life. ie no permanent job, work only when i want to, no big commitments. it really depends on how you see things. i prefer to have a firmer grasp on my own life. it would be nice if i could do this again after gaining more financial stability.

when i started my spanish class some time ago, people doubted its practicality. my view is, life's not just about work. life is being happy, and truly, i felt great motivation every time i thought of my classes. it might be impractical in the sense that i could not apply it into my day-to-day life, but could you forgo the color/cheerfulness it had brought to my life? and eliminate all the future possibilities with one more language equipped?

all my life i have been too blinded in finding a way of living. too many opinions from people whom are important and unimportant, too biased within a frame which i thought was almost the whole world, and also too dependent-thinking. till now i havent really found the right way, but, i guess, im getting closer to it; or at least, realised the truth already.

有一个晚上，
在巨人买了一张卡片，想要寄回家给爸爸。
届巨人的打烊钟点，
各个收银柜台排满了人，大家的手推车里货物堆得高高的；
而我的手里只拿着一张卡片。
排在我前面四十来岁uncle说，
“你去我的前面吧，一张卡片不用等那么久”
初时一直拒绝，排队是理所当然的事，
但后来盛情难却，还是站到uncle前面去，连声谢谢。
心里想说，怎么还会有这么好的人。

而我没那么大的肚量，绝不能忍受插队的人。
每次一声不响站到我前面的都是六十或以上的老女人，
老姐们啊，我看起来温驯不找事吗？
我的脸通红/头发也差一点冒火、想要开口请别人去排队的时候，
旁边的c小姐总是会阻止我，
说‘让一让老人家吧’。
靠，不管你几岁，

Day 4: 早餐：生肉面– 1borneo – 午餐：富源茶餐厅– (回山打根)晚餐：森森八桥海鲜

早餐吃生肉面。

超大碗吃不完。

午餐吃富源茶室的面包和酿料。

白面包非常地柔软。

酿料则是“马麻”jek.

但炸鸡翅膀是不错吃的喔。

用过午餐，我们开始六个小时的车程。

当时天气非常热，拼命冒汗，

放在车里面的零食涨得鼓鼓的。

回程那么遥远。

路边有个这样的管子，连接从高处流下来的水。

当地的居民刻意前来装满了一车子，

他们还说可以直接饮用不需煮食。

天气那么热，冰啤酒那么凉 XD

晚餐大概七、八时许。

森森八桥，左边的食肆。

这一顿是在沙巴吃过比较有水准的一餐。

去了一趟诊疗所之后去上课。

在考虑说要不要去看专科医生？

两个星期以后再决定。

看看这张照片，我的头发已经那么长了，

真是有个冲动想把头发染黑。

最讨厌傍晚下班时间下雨了，

但这一整个礼拜天气都超好超晒的。

心情应该要很好，没错。

但我一直都提不起劲。

除了膝盖，我的左肩下的某组肌肉也冷不防痛了一晚。

睡觉时平躺在床上，

可以感觉到背部跟着心跳的频率抽痛，

好像什么人在扯我的肌肉一样，

这已不是第一次。

而且习惯性耸着肩，肩膀非常紧。

情绪持续低落了一阵子，已经不是哭哭就能了事

只有皇马X巴塞在凌晨两点半能让我兴奋一点 wtf

只当了一年上班族就有那么多病痛了吗？

我是不是应该要好好练习瑜伽。

右边膝盖隐隐作痛，

好几个月前就开始了。

怕加重伤势一直迁就右脚尽量不让它使力，

好像对左脚不太好吧。

想找医生看看，

怕腿以后瘸了怎么办，

我还有大好青春。

可是不知道怎么开口；

不是常常都这样痛的，

上一、两个礼拜没事，现在又开始折磨我。

一度怀疑是风湿病，

但跟下雨没有直接的关系。

痛的区位也很难捉摸

(痛在什么地方都不知道，非常helpless)

我一直相信我是非常健康的一个人

had an enjoyable weekend and monday with my beloved ones. you had no idea how happy i am to work one day lesser this week! lunch in kitchen creatures, got my external harddisk fixed, like finally. cooked dinner ourselves, accompanied sis going downstairs and got almost soaking wet.

speaking of weather, it's rather crazy lately, sunny at a moment and got rainy/gloomy in just a few minutes. it doesnt bother me unless it rains around 6pm. rush hour with heavy pour means worst traffic condition you could ever encountered. how sucky it is to be trapped on the road or even in the office when you are supposed to be at home after work?

looking forward to another weekend, which is another 4 days to go, whee~

any plans or suggestions? i seriously need to keep this high spirit.

关于吃

我的家人个个都是食量大、食欲好的杂食动物。
午餐和晚餐，妈咪煮的蔬菜、肉类都很大盘。
妈咪从来没有灌输我们“不可以吃”的想法，
在“吃”这环把我们照顾得很好，
所以早餐吃，晚餐吃，有时也宵夜。
家里偶有零食、汽水、巧克力、冰淇淋的踪迹，
这些都是妈咪买的哦，
我觉得我的妈咪很酷。

而自己少荤的决定，
是上大学以后的事情。
我不是不爱吃肉类，
但在非常不情愿的状况之下亲眼目睹杀鸡杀鱼的过程，
非常非常残忍。

吃饭的时候只会选择蔬菜/豆腐，有时蛋类。
同事/朋友看见会说吃那么可怜/那么省/之类的话。
那真的不是我的本意。
曾经说过，如果我一个人住，
冰箱里面完全不要肉类，
只要很多很多做沙拉的新鲜蔬菜、优格，
吧台有很多很多坚果类。
有人就说，怎么可以这样(极端)，至少也要有一点肉类吧。
霎时明白素食者的难处；
吃不吃肉是很个人的选择，
就像有人吃野味有人不吃一样。
就像有人念商有人念理一样。
就像有人喜欢先吃早餐再刷牙，有些人相反一样。
没道理遭受抨击。

二月沙巴: 美华酒店

抵达山打根那一天的中午，我们到已预留房间的酒店办理登入手续。美华酒店位于山打根比较老旧的那一块，看见酒店的外观马上傻眼：

大家第一个反应是：“开玩笑！”

步入“大厅”，迎接我们的是酒店唯一的女职员，林先生随即出现。当时房间还在清理当中，因为前一个住客在房里面抽烟，安哥特别吩咐女职员用漂白水清洁。我们的房间其实挺宽敞的，两张单人床合在一起就已经足够让三人睡得稳稳，浴室还有冷、热水供选择。话说，小辉弟弟掀开窗帘想要望一望外面的景物，只听见“哎哟！”的叫声。原来是没看见擦得太干净的玻璃窗直接撞前去……囧

安哥是个大闷骚，跟我们介绍房间里面的设施以后，还指着一旁的架子说：“房间有XX寸大荧幕电视机，下面有个DVD机。这里有三千五百片光碟，全都正版的，什么片子都有。”的确如此，韩国连续剧、英语粤语单片等等，看得眼花缭乱。

记得从亚庇回来的Day 4，抵步山大根已是晚上八点多，我们将就在森森吃了晚餐才回酒店。于是拨电通知安哥我们还是会回去过一晚。
“你地系边度阿？”“我地啊，系森森八桥”“噢，甘食饱d啦下！”

安哥是怎么个闷骚呢？他热情并喜好帮助别人，但我不曾看见过他对我们展露笑容，一如网民所说的，安哥是个怪里怪气的人。而安哥好像永远只有一个造型：白背心和短裤，现出大大的肚子和松垮垮的手臂。

一晚只RM50，安哥到底靠什么赚钱？？

虽说酒店离新市区偏远，晚上没有一家店是开着的，九点多、十点就打烊了。
但如果下次再来，我们还是会住这里吧！

这个星期分别见了两个大学同学，
ee，自09年11月毕业典礼以后没见过面。
phalen，也不知道是什么时候，
好像是她大二去澳洲以前的事了，
自柬埔寨远道而来。
感恩，朋友们都还记得我。
发现对方的刹那，心情澎湃到一个地步！
看别人的照片，朋友都是一党一党的；
我的特别零散，甚少成群聚会/出游。

星期一爸爸妈妈来办事，我们一起用餐。
晚上他们到双威找妹妹，碰巧，那么碰巧，
先比我遇上phalen.

二姐也不知道是第几度被误认作我，
连好朋友都差点出糗，哎哟

Spanish class commenced again last Saturday after so long.

happy to see Esther, happy to see maestro and another 2 classmates.

the mood instantly switched to a lively tempo when i saw Luis,

a light-hearted 'hi' was how i greeted him.

when he responded with a smile and 'hola, como estas?' i knew i made a bad impression -_-

we were given a lot of papers and 3 full pages of verbs to study.

it is certainly not easy as you can see.

but hei it doesnt make me feel difficult at all.

all grateful and happy to go back to class again.

guess being a student and doing things we like would never cause upset.

similarly, thinking of work tomorrow makes me go sigh............

二月沙巴 Day 3

Day 3: Pulau Manukan – Pula Sapi – 晚餐：路阳酒家– Waterfront

这天八点起床到码头(Jesselton Point)。

码头上有好几家公司，他们提供大致上相同的游岛配套。

九点，我们出发到Pulau Manukan，

十二点island hop至Pulau Sapi.

游两岛共花马币40.2，另租用救生衣和浮潜用眼罩RM15。

从船上观望。

非常兴奋的心情。

小辉弟弟。

岛上可供选择的食物不多，幸好我们早有准备，野餐去~

快乐既时间过得真系快，又系时候讲拜拜。

船夫(!)开得非常快。

头发没束好，上岸时已打了千百个结。

于jesselton码头某处。

傍晚到waterfront前面的市集走走。

外观。

比脸还大的椰子，只售RM2.50。

邻边的handicraft market外，景。

所有食物偏甜，当天的晚餐太令人失望。

离开酒店，时候尚早。

对于开车旅行，我们并没有后悔。

嚣张三人组第一次同游。

山打根大多数车子比我们的小kelisa脏。

大概中午时分，意即四小时以后，终于抵达Poring温泉。

该区的温泉开放给公众使用，

但“温泉”其实是采用水管把泉水导入人造池内,

要使用需先拧开水龙头。

看起来有一点geli所以我们没有泡……

Poring其实有许多其他的景点。

越过重重树林，登上吊桥。

某人惧高。

小眼睛呀小眼睛。

深入一点，有美丽的瀑布。

冰冷的水和潮湿的空气，让人感觉心旷神怡。

在这里耗了两个小时，又开车往亚庇前进。

下过雨以后的Ranau如此朦胧。

沙巴到处都是这类vintage车子，很可爱。

沿路的蔬菜水果摊。

这些蘑菇最inviting了！

那个有点像牛油果的黄色果肉，还不错吃。

质地有点像…………甜薯。

味道有点像…………不太熟的榴莲。

沙巴产草莓。

我们走走又停停。

我们住的地方。

过一、两条大街就是沿海的地方，位置挺理想。

隔邻的夜市，售卖大把大把的蔬菜，也有贝壳。

登陆山打根机场，映入眼帘的是这个。
那么幸运，甫抵达已细雨霏霏。
预先租好的车子来了以后，我们就开始依靠着咪咪的导航系统探险啦！

首先到俊园(Tmn Tshun Ngen)一家叫做我的面的小餐馆医肚子。
点了皮蛋饺子面和排骨面，慕面条非常有弹性之名而来。
果然非常有嚼劲，分量之大，一男两女吃不完两碗。

推荐排骨弹弓面，RM4，大件夹抵食！
皮蛋饺子面则碱水味略重。

普济寺背海，可惜小相机没有办法把美丽的景色拍下来。

前往该寺的路段挺弯曲，还有一个斜上的路口要180度，

又刚好遇上路陷，大家都觉得刺激好玩。

寺里的贩卖器，汽水只售RM1.30.

顺道拜访曾经在小学课本里看过的三角石。
入门票RM1，建议忽略此景，成堆的垃圾臭气冲天。

在长江超市购买干粮，手推车摆在露天的大门外。

用过晚餐以后，我们驾着车子四处闲逛。

Jalan Coastal，shop & save的旁边有一个夜市。

My daily work flow is to be alert with the available vacancies, get candidates and propose to employers. The flow is abc, but dealing with people is not as simple as you think. Everyday we schedule interviews and coordinate in between employers and candidates, so the story is, today, there was 3 appointments that required my attention, supposedly.

End up no one attended any of the interviews. Lucky enough to get 3 fails in a single day and none of the clients yell at me. Can you imagine? People spare out time just to meet and have a talk with you, how much time and effort wasted to fix an appointment, how many persons affected because of your ffk? Particularly, the female candidate requested for a postponement last week because she had ‘sore throat’ on the initial date, promised and in denial of her unseriousness. Advised to cancel completely if she was unserious to avoid being blacklisted, still, she pretended her eagerness. A day later when I called in the morning, she faked her illness and by the time I rang again in the afternoon, she was nearly recovered. So it was a re-schedule today. The drama queen then could not be reached through phone this morning even after multiple calls and did not show up. I almost exploded in the office. BITCH. Earning only a mere two thousand and five hundred in the age of 30? Please check on your own attitude. These people contribute hell lot to low GDP and serve to fortify invulnerable racial discrimination. It’s already unimportant if she was faking her illness or if she was eager at that point of time.

You hate me for threatening you and being mean? And you think it should be alright to only piss one agent?

Well, FUCK YOU.

The moral of the story is, do not easily promise for any appointment. On the negative side, it will lead to damage on own reputation, BECAUSE JOBSTREET ALLOWS EMPLOYERS/INTERVIEWERS/AGENCIES TO LEAVE AN ATTENDANCE RECORD AND TO BLACKLIST INTERVIEWEES, WHICH, INFORMATION WILL BE SHARED AMONG EMPLOYERS/INTERVIEWERS/AGENCIES, WHOM, INITIALLY, LONG FOR YOUR JOB APPLICATION.

After all the adrenaline rush, I had a hectic day completing report and settling trivial issues. It’s indeed a bad day, not much being interested into the positions I have. Left office almost sharp 6. Moving back to home with utmost exhaustion, I felt heavy on the chest that then led to short of breath. Suppressed anger, disappointment, frustration, nervous etc surfaced, I had the urge to just break down. Though become better after having some food and rest.

几乎每一个星期天都过得懊恼。

发呆一整天很是浪费青春，假日到底要做什么好呢？

于是刚过去的周末，

我们终于来到豆原。

老大摆好姿势等我拍照。

喜欢他们细心提供的柠檬水，

喝一口水继续吃下一道，嘴巴里面的味道都不会参杂。

不一样风味的Tiramisu。

本人比较喜好膏状的起司，所以觉得鱼胶粉多一点会比较好。

奇怪的是酒精味比咖啡还浓厚。

Yam cake口感丰富，喜欢椰丝带来的嚼劲。

大家都爱的sesame cheese cake，无懈可击！

结论是，咖啡与蛋糕虽让人回味无穷，有人午餐没吃肚子还是一样饿

天气炎热，坐在二姐介绍的这间东西里面可是会被焗熟的。

就在冠记前面，安哥卖的椰浆糕又香又非常非常松软，不会过甜，

下次去我还要吃……

干身，面条有弹性，跟我平常吃的味道不一样，

黑酱油较少所以不那么甜，掂！

也是冠记前面，椰浆糕安哥的旁边的烧腊。

朱受不住诱惑，考虑五秒马上买了烧肠和鸭脚包。

A gift could brighten someone's day. Even if it is a used Spanish-learning book. i dont give a damn to a lot of things, i only care about stuff that i am interested into. but still, i have a lot of caring friends around me. They lend me a ear, they comfort me, they cheer me up. man, i must have done damn lot of good things in my past life to deserve knowing so many wonderful people?

农历新年最喜欢的不是拿红包，而是年三十晚一连串的准备活动。

扫地/擦地板/叠宝牒/祭祖拜神，这些都是除夕的指定活动。

不知道什么时候开始有了挥春的习惯。

忙完一轮手总是会红彤彤的。

很美丽的人。

今年团圆饭在我们家用，姑姑和伯伯一家人差不多全都到齐了。

我最期待的一道！！！！！！好想吃哦。

第一次收到女儿的红包感觉很不错的两个人们。

remember the long holiday breaks we used to have in primary school. dang i wonder if i could have the same thing again. this is me already graduated from uni almost 1.5 years ago.

when i was forced to write essays like "My Ambition" during elementary school, i started to picture myself as an adult. it was about 9 years old, wanting to be a teacher. getting more grown up, around 11 or 12, thinking to be a chef. different but bakery chef too, dreaming to have a little bakery house. the most "professional" profession i have ever thought of is being a linguist, at younger years of high school. have had a passion for languages, and still feeling that the variety of culture and ethnicity is fascinating. later imagining myself being an air-stewardess, at about 16-17 years old, particularly intense after watching the hk drama 冲上云霄.

this year im gonna be 23. not that young and cannot afford to be carefree anymore. reluctant to grow up, that's why i said i am forced to. just wondering how many of you actually do something with your ambitions and dreams? i know what my goals are, though to make decision is really tough. prioritized and working them out. just sometimes i get so lost, and i have to redefine my position, re-organize and look back at my plans. guess this is the only way (at least the only one i know) i could regain my direction which affects my self-esteem so much.

along my journey i have met a lot of people. come to understand that those that i am really close to causes profound impact on my thoughts. meeting different herds of people creates doubts to myself. most often i found yours truly questioning, "why have i not thought about this before"? i know my too biased self, if only i could think out of the box.

just so tired of being forgetful until having to get lost, reposition, be happy, get lost, reposition and be happy again.

运动了半个小时胸口还是闷着就走到健身室外面的游乐园坐着。今天的九点特别凉快，偶尔这样和自己相处我想是挺不错的。喜欢套着耳机听歌，因为风一直吹着所以蚊子没有倒是嗅出一阵阵楼下夜市飘来的沙爹味。脑子常常都是这样空着的。好像不应该这样的吧，大家是不是一天到晚都在想东西呢？夜色朦胧街灯也不亮，其实游乐园里不是没有人的只是大家都看不清楚对方（或许只是我的近视眼）而显得很自在，气氛好得我希望自己可以常常吹风听歌放空生活。

感冒药药效总是那么强，

这几晚好像睡死了一样，异常熟睡。

这样很好呢，一觉到天明。

感恩医生还开了drowsy & non-drowsy 两种感冒药，

那上班的时候就不用和自己的眼皮过不去啦。

（“可至昏睡”和“不至昏睡”!?!?）

只是不明白，怎么总要在新年之前病一下呢？？

起床在假期的早上，

没有出门，没有计划。

大宝森节因为一整个早上被浪费掉，

心情非常非常郁闷。

那天我就开始想说，这样的天，

是不是应该好好对待自己。

比如说，做一顿丰富的早餐。

广仲说，吃早餐也是一个非常摇滚的事情哦！!

嘿嘿，这天起，我就好想要为自己做一本填满早餐食谱的早餐书。

花罗汉

诊疗所都喜欢摆着一个鱼缸，是吗？

候诊的时间漫长难熬。

我的眼睛一直盯着缸里的花罗汉。

只有那么一条，不像平常看见的那些那么肥肿。

小鱼不停游阿游。

喂，小鱼，你好象有点闷哩。

每天游来这里游去那边，身体精壮是没错，

但你没有朋友，没有人陪你说话。

你很漂亮，但没有同类欣赏。

又不可以像我一样可以上网、看杂志、逛街买衣服。

一天二十四小时。

一小时六十分钟。

你只可以不停游泳，或者挨着鱼缸底部，

或者停留在水中央，只有细致的背鳍和尾巴摆动那么惊人，罢了。

是不是做人比较好，你说？
